Mesomorph came about after a trip to Ireland and viewing the Dublin Museum of Natural History. It is very small and very cramped and very dimly lit. They place displays wherever there is room. When I returned, I saw a commercial where a dinosaur bone exhibit moved because it wanted something one of the patrons had. I can't remember what the commercial was, but I thought: wouldn't it be eerie if something like that happened in the Dublin Museum. A little side note, Jessica Hoblock's last name was my wife's last name. I was going to call her Susan Hoblock, which was my wife's name, but the joke of being the Doctor's uncle was too good to resist and we removed it from the story.

An interesting concept: I liked it! Also, (this was) the first time Jeff Coburn had been without a companion since taking over as the Doctor. Filled with laughter throughout... oh wait...that was the production, not the story. Giggle-fits were abounding during this recording, and we still don't know why! I don't know what to say about this one, but it was fun!
